The 2015 edition of the Edmonton Comedy Festival will once again feature over 30 comics from across North America performing at venues throughout the city. We haven’t forgotten to include an all women’s show, an amateur contest, the media challenge and our free children’s show. The Edmonton Comedy Festival will once again use the ATB Financial Arts Barns as our main stage and Four Points By Sheraton, The Varscona Hotel, The Druid Pub and the St. Albert Banquet Centre for our other amazing shows. Watch for our stage at the Varscona Hotel as part of The Edmonton International Fringe Festival in August and check out our film offering as part of Edmonton International Film Festival in October.
We are pleased to welcome back ATB Financial as our title sponsor along with all the great companies and Government offices you see listed on this page. We couldn’t put this on without them and we are very grateful for their continued support. We are also very pleased to welcome Global Television as our newest partner. You’ll want to see the amazing people we’ll be featuring on the Global TV Stage!
So who’s coming you ask? Our incredible line-up of performers for 2015 includes world famous acts like Alonzo Bodden, and Johnny “Bagpipes” Johnston, as well as some festival favourites like Andrew Grose, Mike Dambra and Atomic Improv. This year you’ll meet Leighann Lord, JR DeGuzman and Shayma Tash who are among the hottest headliners touring North America today!
Take in a Gala, stroll down to the Varscona Hotel, belly up to the bar at Four Points or head out to the St. Albert Kinsmen Banquet Centre. There’s always a show that’s perfect for you and maybe 2 or 3 of them! If Contests are your thing follow along as 30 local amateurs attempt to win it all at The Young Guns Competition every Sunday starting September 6th. Or check out the Media Challenge at the ATB Financial Arts Barns October 7th featuring a dozen local media celebrities. Need somewhere to go with the kids? We have that covered too at the Bumper To Bumper Children’s Show on Saturday, October 10th. You don’t need a ticket for that one... just show up!
For an extra 7 minutes of funny watch as local Edmontonians from the Mayor to the President of the Eskimos give joke telling a try!
